Fees for probate applications
You must pay a fee to the Probate Office or a District Probate Registry for probate applications and related services.
Solicitors — application fees
These fees apply to applications made by solicitors on behalf of clients.
Solicitor application fees by item/threshold

Solicitors — copies of documents
You must submit an order form to the Probate Office with the relevant fee to order copies.

Personal applicants — application fees
These fees apply only to people applying without a solicitor.
Personal applicant fees by net estate value

| €1 – €100,000 | €200 |
| €100,001 – €250,000 | €400 |
| €250,001 – €500,000 | €700 |
| €500,001 – €750,000 | €1,000 |
| €750,001 – €1,000,000 | €1,300 |
| Over €1,000,000 | €1,300 (plus €800 per €500,000 over €1,000,000) |
Other fees: If a grant has already issued (double, lapsed, unadministered or duplicate grant/DBN), the fee is €300.
