Licence refusal appeals

If you are refused a licence excluding a publican's licence, by An Garda Síochána or another body, you can appeal the decision to the District Court.

An appeal may be made when:

  1. You have valid reasons or grounds to make the appeal
  2. You believe the decision was unfair or incorrect

The most common types of refusals are refusal of a gun licence and refusal of a taxi licence.
